Fortunately for the cold, yet boring, winter days there was a place to go to pass time. Cup of Joe was a nice place to chill out, and even to socialise and that was the very reason a young Ashley Rousso had decided to pass time at the Cafe. Sporting nothing more than a pair of designer jeans tucked into a cute pair of black Ugg boots, paired off with a white cashmere, with light blue stripes, jumper. Accessorising this outfit with only her diamond Rolex and a Moon Pendant given to her from her mother as a gift. She was also carrying a Juicy Couture handbag, but it was one of the larger ones. With many things inside it. Ashley would really prefer to be spending her Monday afternoon some place else, but because of the strong winds and the complete lack of anything to do she just came to Cup of Joe. Who she would meet, and what they would do wouldn't be certain until she found someone that she was acquainted with..or at least she recognised the face from around campus. Currently there were only old granny's and granddads around so it wasn't too fun chatting about "the good old days".
Rubbing her gloves hands together Ashley walked up to the counter and ordered a Ginger Nut Latte: it was a nice seasonal option. Focusing her attention on the cafe she searched the room looking for a place to sit. Luckily there weren't too many people around so Ashley was able to get a seat by the window, in case a friend of hers was strolling by, with quite a few seats so anyone good join her if they wanted. Fetching a book out of her bag, "Gentlemen and Players" by Joan Harris, she sat herself down in the corner of the sofa, nearest to the fireplace, and began reading the novel. She was actually quite hooked on the book. You see the main character is supposedly a boy, but nearer the middle it seems as if she is either A) a gay boy, or B) a girl. Now Ashley thought it was the latter though she didn't have anything against gays. She just liked the idea of the plot with the girl pretending she was a boy just to get close to a boy. Besides she hoped this type of book would help her raise her grades in English. It was one of the few subjects, minus drama; PE and dance, which she wasn't failing in. Scraping by on a C+ on average for English, which was actually good for her.
She glanced up at the waiter who approached her with the drink she had ordered. He was quite cute actually, she thought as she smiled at him gratefully. But she vaguely remembered making out with him or something, so it was all cool that he didn't seem to have anything against her or what not. That is..if she's hurt him in anyway. Her mind usually went spiralling down long corridors in thought, and though she did often seem quite smart she just couldn't put it down on paper. If that even made sense. "Thank you" she said to the guy, but he was pretty much gone already. It's what long thoughts do to her.

Even for the blistery cold winter days she had something cute to wear outdoors. Tyra was a walking fashionista, obviously, sporting the cutest crochet boots and Juicy Coutre bag. Not to mention the South Pole jeans and the Gucci top. Oh, and her rimless D&G sunglass that blocked her hazel eyes from view. Tyra walked into the cafe, ready for some hot chocolate, as per her custom to spill onto her white clothes, of course. She smiled as the kind person handed it to her and she paid for it.
Lucky for her, there was Ashley Russo in the cafe as well, who she knew from reputation. Tyra singled her out to sit with, and she slid into her table, smiling at Ashley. She looked at the book she was reading, which Tyra read, and decided she could've just watched She's The Man instead of read that book. It was like reading the script for She's The Man, and Tyra was now on a boycott of all books that were made into movies. She would rather watch the movie. Tyra could be like that sometimes, actually.
Tyra placed her Juicy Couture bag, which was quite on the small side, on the table and removed her Gucci cashmere coat and under it was a cute Juicy Couture sweater. Tyra was big on those kind of thing, and her diamond Rolex finally was showing, since it was one of the thinner ones. Tyra also had on a small pendent, which she often wore whenever she wanted to just feel pretty. Really. Tyra also then started drinking her hot coco, making sure not to spill it this time.
"Hey there. Are you going to look up from the book or what?," she asked impatiently. Tyra also was the type of girl who was the bitch, and often interrupts people from their high. Tyra was looking impatient and ready to get down to business, that always had been the type of girl Tyra was. Straight up and no fuss, yet always the kind of girl that was referred to as a 'bitch'.
Sometimes she was even described as 'tete definite' aka 'headstrong'. Tyra had taken enough French to understand what people could call her in French, and even learned that in France, she would be called a 'une tete definite fille', 'bete fille', 'a la mode fille', 'une salope', and sometimes 'une vache fille'. Tyra didn't mind those descriptions, actually. Tyra found it amusing, in a sense. After all, who were they to judge? She was probably going to be one of those super famous and rich people on day.
Tyra did seem like that kind of girl, didn't she? Well, of course she did, obviously. Yeah, and Tyra was the bitch who was like a quick cat who could care less about who you were. It only mattered to her what you could do for her, and if you didn’t mind her bitchy attitude. And if you went up against her, you were going up against someone who was the drama queen, the one no one has dared stand up to before. Yeah, and Tyra? She don’t like that too much, trust us.

Ashley had actually planned on having quite a quiet time at the cafe, and though she didn't mind when she noticed a girl placing her stuff down next to her seat, she found it quite rude. Looking up from her book she looked her up and down before saying anything. "You could have even asked if the seat was taken" she remarked obviously. Because who knew? She might have been saving it for some..old guy that was getting his short bread? No, it was too believable. But people should have the common courtesy to at least ask: Ash was big on those things. Ash could recognise the face just a bit. They possible hung out with the same clique or something... But whatever the girl had already sat down and she wouldn't start an argument unless she had to.
But amazingly enough it took less than a minute to get pissed of at this girl. Though Ash could probably forgive the girl for sitting down without asking, many people did that, she most definitely wouldn't stand for being interrupted when she had like...a paragraph left to finish. "Do you mind? I was kind of trying to read. Just because you might not know how to doesn't mean you need to bother those that can." she 'dissed'. She really didn't like this girl already. Placing her book down on the table, now not in the mood for reading. Though of course she'd finished the paragraph. "Hi" she greeted coldly. Their first 'meeting' hadn't begun so well.
"It's seems you have such a pressing issue that you'd like to discuss with me. What is it?" she mocked in not such a rude way. If the girl hadn't interrupted her so impatiently she probably would have greeted her warmly and started pleasant conversation with..Tyra, was it? But not now. Ashley wondered what it was, or maybe the girl just wanted small chit chat. If that was the case than she would be very disappointed that she'd wasted all that time for nothing, since if the girl only wanted small talk she wouldn't really talk to her much.
OOC: Very crappeh. Excuse me. =]

Tyra simply laughed at her quirp of asking if she could sit here. And then laughed again at her 'comeback', if you could call it that. Tyra has read enough books, and she knew every comeback line ever to be given. Yet, that wasn't the point. Tyra smirked and said, "Took ya long enough to guess that point!"
Tyra took a sip of her cocco before going on with what she was going to say. Tyra then continued with, "Yeah, I got this huge oral report to give in, uh, I think it was French, and it has to be all in French. I don't want to recite it to one of my friends, because, well, they'll just pretend to like if for me. So, are you up for hearing a monolouge?" Tyra always loved being in the spotlight.
She would even start some drama just to be in the stage. Yeah, that was exactlly the kind of girl Tyra was. Tyra didn't give a f**k that everyone else hated her. She just cared if the R-E-S-P-E-C-T'ed her to her face. Tyra wasn't picky like other girls, she took what she could get. And Tyra wasn't at all picky with guys, just as long as they're hot, she could care less about their faults. That just was who Tyra was, which you should just take it and love, or at least fake respect to her face.

So much for being friendly. Ashley could already tell that she wasn't going to like this girl. Seriously, who did she think she was? She probably thought she was the best actress in the world, but Ash could see through her. She was probably some insecure girl who lived off the attention of others. But to burst "Tyra's" bubble she wouldn't take her shit. She never took anyone's shit. It was uncalled for. "Guess? Guess what?" she asked, she was beginning to think that Tyra wasn't the smartest of girls because she hadn't guessed anything.
At least the girl had gotten to the point. Even if it was totally stupid. Why the hell would Ash help her when all she'd done so far was piss her off? Ash plastered a smile on her face, though it wasn't necessarily fake. "You have an oral report? Me too. In Italian though, let me recite mine. Vaffunculo. Non desidero intorno voi per essere. Siete embarrassing voi. Vada via" she said in Italian: her grandparents were Italian and urge her to be fluent in Italian. She smirked at the girl, hoping she didn't understand. If she did she'd just say something in Portuguese, yeah. She knew a bit of Portuguese too.
It wasn't that she loved being rude, though somtimes she did, but it was just the presence of this girl: she made her hate her. For some unknown reason. It wasn't because of rumours or what not actually, she barely knew the girl existed. But she could sense "bad" vibes, though they were just annoying ones.
OOC: Yeah, it sucks again. I don't have too much muse yet. Oh && don't ask me what I wrote, I don't think I remember! xP

Oh, so this girl's got sass. Tyra didn't really care much anymore, and she simply went back to drinking her coco. Tyra then went onto her whole stance on seeing if she could patch things up with the girl, instead of being rude. Tyra then changed her expression as if to say, 'Hey now, why can't we work this out?' and then said, "Well, I guess I was a little bitchy to you before, and there was no need for us to start off like that. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm sorry for being so rude to you before."
Tyra then gave her best it's-all-my-fault look and said, "I'm really sorry I didn't ask you if you were saving the seat. Could we just start all over and pretend this didn't happen?" Tyra could be quite friendly when she wanted, but first, to do that, she has to smooth things over. And Tyra had this uncanny abilty to make it seem like she was really admitting to the fault, which she actually was doing. Tyra had to think if she really wanted to set off on the wrong foot with this girl.
Tyra had casted a bad impression, she knew that much was certain. And Tyra didn't like leaving behind someone with a bad impression of her, unless she's certain that there's a good reason she would never be friends with them. And who knows, maybe the girl would accept her apology and want to be friends too. She knew that she always gets off on the wrong foot with people. However, Tyra was usually the first one to stop being a bitch, admit that she's wrong, and show her true intentions. Tyra smiled in a friendly way to the girl, hoping that she wouldn't mind Tyra having such a rude, sometimes bitchy attitude.
After all, that was just what Tyra was, sometimes. While Tyra could act that way sometimes, she'll sometimes stop and realize what she said. And then try to change what she had said into what she had truely meant to say to the girl/boy. Tyra then said finally, "My first intention was innocent, I swear. But sometimes, even when my intentions are innocent, they seem bitchy, I know, and I'm sorry for that too." Tyra smiled in an apologetic way, as if to show she knew that she was wrong and that she was sorry.

Ashley arched an eyebrow, but it probably came out ruder than it meant to. "As in, before today, or before before? Because I don't think we've met before...why I don't even know your name." she shrugged her shoulders truthfully. Though they were possibly in the same clique it didn't mean they always talked to each other. Ash shrugged her shoulders once more as in a "whatever" sort of way. Who cared really? If the girl was bitchy to her she'd be a bitch back. But if not then..who knew?
Ash was still a bit wary of the girl, because for all she knew the girl could be acting. "Yeah you could have. But I guess that's just me" she said, shrugging for a third time. Putting her book into her Juicy Couture bag she faced the girl again. Extending a hand across the table, careful not to knock over their drinks, she gestured a shake. "Yeah, OK, fine. I'm Ashley." She gave the girl a weak smile: she'd be cautious of the girl for the rest of their "meeting".
The thing with Ashley was: she judged people on first encounters. If you made a bad impression on her she wouldn't speak to your or anything, because she'd have just taken you to the other list. Her B list was full of a lot of people, because there weren't too many bitches around. But only her closest of friends were considered A list. So far she was more than unimpressed with this girl, she seemed to deserved a place in the Z list.
Her eyebrow still arched, and her tone still disbelieving, she wondered why the sudden change in heart. Whether it was just because Ash had intimidated her; very unlikely, or she was trying to fool her; possible, or if she just seemed to recognise her error; also unlikely. But as long as the girl was no longer a bitch to her, all she could do for the current moment would to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Huh" she muttered, bewildered: not many people come out with apologies just after the "crime". It was unusual, so Ashley really didn't know what to think.

Tyra was smiling at her response, and said while taking Ashley's hand for the handshake, "I'm Tyra. It's nice to meet you, Ashley." Tyra had to be a little more cautious of how she first presented herself, she then realized. Tyra seemed to notice how people always consider her to be a bitch before fully getting to know her. She then took another sip of her drink, and realized she was going to need a refill soon.
She had noticed that Ashley had put her book away. Tyra hoped this was a good sign, she didn't want to be the biggest bitch ever by interrupting her. She didn't like being on people's bad list, even though she tried her hardest to convince herself it didn't matter. Yet Tyra can't deny that it's always good to be someone's friend. Tyra said finally, deciding she should listen to what Ashley was about, "Is there anything else about you? Something important? You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
Tyra could always be friendly, its just that she choses not to be. It's not exactly a secret that Tyra isn't the kind of girl who would care if you were mad at her. Tyra, however, despite that fact, will end up caring if you were a friend or if she felt guilty. It was rare for Tyra to feel guilt, but sometimes she can get the feeling of guilt. That was the reason Tyra apologized to her. Tyra had felt guilty for being so rude on their first meeting, since, after all, first impressions do matter.
And Tyra was one to feel guilty about leaving a bad first impression. Yet at the same time, if she heard bad things about the person, she would care less if she had left a bad impression, that's true. Tyra was complex and there was no way to just simply state a true fact about her that'll be true all the time. Tyra isn't one to always stay the same. Tyra hates conformity, and if she's forced into it, she'll rebel. Which is why it wasn't a shock that Tyra went into five different majors, since all of them required different things for her to do.

She often wondered whether people were fake with her at first just to check how she was, but she certainly hoped not. If it were true then she'd be dismayed: she always judged a person on their first impressions. Fortunately for Tyra, she had been right with the name, Ashley stongly believed in second chances unless you screwed up the first one too much. For instance if you were dating her but you fucked her mate she wouldn't give you a second chance no matter how "drunk" you claim to have been. It's the way nature takes its course.
"Is there anything else about you? Something important? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." She smiled at this. By simply saying these sentences it showed Ashley that she wasn't being complete fake with her because she was indeed listening. "Nah, I was just putting it away so we can chat" she grinned, and this was definitely a good sign. Ash was impressed that Tyra could change Ash's thoughts on her in a matter of time.
Ashley decided that being a bitch all the time could change you, so any feeling of kindness had to be quite rare for Tyra. Though it was appreciated that she'd decided to take a break from being a bitch. Ashley too could be a bitch, but it wasn't something that she did very often: it was to stressful when everyone hated you.
Ashley lifted her coffee drink to her lips and took a sip. She knew that from perhaps then on there might be a little different friendship between them. "So..are you in any 'cliques'" she asked, using her fingers in a quotation at the word cliques.

Tyra smiled again, she was always good at turning around bad first impressions. Which was good, since she was horrible at first impressions. Tyra said to her question, "I'm categorized as a 'rising star' by my friend, Christy. Yet people's first impression of me is a dramatic bitch. What about you?"
Tyra was assuming that she was one of the geeky girls, since her nose was stuck in a book, but Tyra knew better than to assume things. After all, if everyone assumed something, it could always be wrong. Tyra was living proof that first impressions can always be wrong, since Tyra was one of the most loyal friends you'll ever meet. And you could never ask for a more kind person, but Tyra never really believes in showing weakness, so she masks herself with strength instead of showing herself. Yet Tyra was hurting inside, and she knew that, even though she wouldn't admit it to anyone. Why was that?
Boyfriend troubles. It was a good thing that no one really pays much attention to the heiress of Simone Enterprises, the strong, indpendent women who doesn't appear to need a guy. Tyra was scared to face the paprazzi and show her weakness in front of them, her weakness for a guy. Tyra wasn't going to tell them that she was scared of what was going on right now, and how confused she was. She knew they were just after a story, and her admitting she's scared and confused is a big story. It's even juicier than anything Britney Spears has on her, and that's sad.

Ashley laughed at how correct Tyra was. It was probably a bit rude of her but at least Tyra knew how she came off to other people. That way she could at least try on improving herself. "Really?" she asked, slightly surprised. No wonder Tyra looked so familiar. "I'm a Rising Star too, you could say." but everyone pretty much knew that: or at least those that had seen her, or seen her perform. Ashley was quite proud of herself when it came to showbiz because she'd been in quite a lock of commercials. "I think I'm pretty down to earth, and what you see is what you get. Because I'm not fake with people, I say what I think" she nodded, as she said it. She could completely agree with what she was saying about herself, because she didn't remember a time when she wasn't any different.
Ashley thought about the book she had been reading, and realised that Tyra could believe she was some sort of a nerd. "But don't get me wrong, I'm not a nerd or whatever. Any time you find me reading a book is either so I can improve my grades, which are really low, or so I can develop a role I am to play." she spoke truthfully. She didn't really dislike nerds or whatever. But she was so unlike a nerd that it'd be embarrassing for her, for anyone to think she was indeed a nerd. She couldn't possibly be thought of one anyway. She was more outgoing than one is supposed to be, she wasn't as smart as one stereotypically and she obviously did not wear glasses and or braces.
She wondered what Tyra was really like. Because underneath the whole bitchyness she seemed quite an insecure person. She knew a lot of people like that: people who tried to hide their true selves in fear of being exploited and vulnerable. Ashley was proud to say that she wasn't like that because she did open up to people, you just had to gain her trust. She smiled at Tyra, even though deep inside she was analysing her. She always did that with people: analyse them upon first meetings. "Well..what sort of things are you into then?" she asked, but she obviously knew that drama and performing would be on her top three. Well you had to be into them if you were a Rising Star, didn't you?
